Referee and Coaches clinic
Alaska Judo in cooperation with Mountain View Judo, Mat-su Judo & The Northwest Yudanshakai will be hosting a referee/coaches clinic
Mr. Calvin Terada IJF a referee and resent selection at the IJF Junior world games in South Africa and Mr. Bert Mackey a USA International Coach have been invited to Alaska to host two clinics and to participate at the March 4, Mat-Su Tournament in Wasilla. more details

Alaskans impress at judo championships
A judo team made up of 11 Alaskans competed in the USA Judo Junior Olympic National Championships last week in Irving, Texas, producing some good performances in a meet that drew more than 950 of the top competitors in the country.

2011 Alaska State Judo Championships
The 2011 Alaska State Judo Championships were held Saturday, March 26th at Dimond High School in Anchorage. Well over 100 contestants came from as far north as Fairbanks, as far South as Ketchikan, with a few from Canada to test their grappling skills in Alaska largest Judo tournament. The contestants ranged in age from 5 to over 50 years old, with excellent skill shown throughout.Read the full story

2011 Competition Clinic with Kayla Harrison
Sensei Kayla Harrison, USA Judo's top ranked female athlete fighting in the women's 78kg division, will be hosting a series of competition clinics Friday and Saturday March 11 and 12 in the Dimond Center Mall in Anchorage. Sensei Harrison won gold this year at the Senior World Championships in Tokyo Japan.Read the full story
