Kodokan Judo Institute

Kodokan is the dojo that Sensei Jigoro Kano founed in 1882. It started out with a handful of tatami mats and a few students. It is the birth place of Kodokan Judo, which is one of the most widely practice sports and forms of self-defense in the world.

International Judo Federation

The International Judo Federation (IJF) is the international governing body of the Olympic sport of Judo recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and consisting of 187 member National Federations grouped into 5 Continental Unions (Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania and Panamerica).

USA Judo

USA Judo (a.k.a USJI) is the National Governing Body for Judo in the United States and is a member of the United States Olympic Committee , the Pan American Judo Union, and the International Judo Federation . USA Judo has overall authority to govern all aspects of amateur Judo in the United States and to select and prepare American teams for international competition.

United States Judo Federation

The USJF is a national non-profit corporation dedicated to the development of judo. The USJF regularly forms committees and events at the local, regional and national level for these purposes.

United States Judo Association

The United States Judo Association, provides event listings for tournaments, clinics, and camps, plus contact information. They provide books, videos, uniforms, and other supplies. They assist coaches in building their clubs, and provide them with membership rosters, forms, and other support, all at no charge to its members.
